Ancestry Examiner is owned and run by Carole Steers, a genealogist with over ten years' experience in the field.

 

She originally qualified as an archaeologist working in Liverpool, but injury forced her retirement from the profession. However, whilst there she gained a good grounding in archives and this experience has been instrumental in her methodical, concise approach to research.

 

In 2013 she successfully gained a Postgraduate Certificate in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies from the University of Strathclyde.  Currently she is undertaking a Master's at the University of Limerick in History of the Family.

 

She is a member of The Association of Professional Genealogists (APGen), The Society of Genealogists, and  numerous family history societies.
